Societal change and its effects are not only a challenge for the social, political and scientific response to crises, but also affect social groups and individuals in many different ways. In a complex world in which human behavior, personal experiences and social dynamics are closely intertwined, the numerous synergies between the humanities, social sciences and psychology are becoming increasingly important. The impact of the pandemic on mental health, education and the world of work, as well as the consequences of the modern labor market for the mental health of employees, require interdisciplinary cooperation. At the same time, psychology plays a crucial role in promoting behavioral change, resilience and the development of coping strategies in times of change and uncertainty.

The potential for collaboration between the humanities, social sciences and psychology manifests itself on several levels, which will be addressed in the workshop. First, it will focus on the ways in which humanities, social science and psychological approaches can contribute to deepening and broadening our understanding of human thought, feeling and behavior. In particular, exploring the role of psychological factors in decision-making and opinion-forming is of particular relevance.
