Event Concept & Program
With the theme of “Disrupting Scientific Boundaries”, registration for the 5th international conference of the interdisciplinary research alliance and TU Dresden EXU measure TUDiSC is now open!
Please register your attendance here
Building on the success of previous TUDiSC conferences, which have drawn contributions from researchers such as Orit Halpern, Robert Mitchell, Adrian Daub and Kylie Crane, the conference is set to explore the intersection between research, art and activism, and through this, examine the interface between science and society.
The scientific description and monitoring of increasingly complex crises and challenges require interdisciplinary research approaches and strategies, as well as modes of thinking and acting that go beyond the rigid boundaries of the academic system. Inter-, trans- and multidisciplinary reseach are high ambitions, that require establishing common ground, integrating expertise and constructively overcoming differences. For this reason, the TUD launched the measure “Disruption and societal change” (TUDiSC), where researchers from many different disciplines undertake a joint effort to investigate disruptions from a conceptual and practical perspective.
The event is set to be participative and provide plenty of space for discussion and exchange, all fueled by the delicious catering of a local vegan café. How could you possibly miss it?!
