#61 "Mündigkeitstracker"
In the last 24 hours, have you voted in a referendum, signed a petition, run for office, argued for your beliefs, made your political position public or simply watched the news? Enter your ways of being politically active in a "Mündigkeitstracker" app! Get advantages! Become a super political nerd and bag big rewards!
As you can see, today's (admittedly somewhat exaggerated) idea would be more suitable for IT specialists or programming enthusiasts. It came about during a visit to the Federal Agency for Civic Education at JoDDiD, when we recorded a podcast together, which you can listen to here. The idea was as follows: Based on various points programs, an app could be developed with which, for example, one's own political education consumption could be documented. Users of the app would receive points for every conscious democratic action they registered, which could then be exchanged for small prizes.
For example, anyone who has consumed news on the way to work, exchanged views with others on current issues or recently attended a discussion event on the unconditional basic income could enter this in the app and exchange it for educational trips, political board and card games or haptic voting tools. Of course, it would be even better if I could connect with other users within the app, compare notes or even exchange ideas on specific topics. This would give me ideas about how other people organize their political education consumption and I might discover one or two approaches for myself.
