#07 Political education in pop-up stores

The covid crisis is a plague - in the truest sense of the word. There is nothing good in it. After more than a year of restrictions, we all feel a bit "tired". The inner cities are dying, the social groups are moving even further apart - we have to do something.

The Sächsische Zeitung newspaper reported on March 30th, 2021

Dresden. 72 vacant stores in the so-called "26er-Ring" have been recorded in an expert report prepared by the Gesellschaft für Markt- und Absatzforschung (Society for Market and Sales Research). It was commissioned by the City Management Dresden association. Most of these closed stores are located around Wilsdruffer Platz, Sternplatz, on Hauptstraße and in shopping centers such as the Altmarkt Galerie. read more"

If we want to bring political education from the periphery to the center, then this should open up opportunities. Some store landlords might be willing to provide exhibitions, information stands or meeting rooms for political education.

We urgently need to talk about how to proceed.
