Bachelor's degree programs
The new combined degree course B.A. Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
The courses offered in the Bachelor's degree are characterized by the fact that, in addition to a major subject from these subjects, students can also study courses from other subjects from the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science or the neighbouring Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies. The very positive experience that students and lecturers have gained with these subject combinations will be put on a new footing in the new combined degree course. This will create new opportunities for students to develop their profile and open up new options for Master's degree courses in the two subjects, which can now be chosen as first and second major subjects, for possible further studies.
Enrolment for the new combined B.A. Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences degree course has begun in the winter semester 2023/24. In this degree program, all subjects of the faculty can be chosen together as a first or second major, i.e. history, art history, media research, philosophy, political science, sociology as well as Protestant and Catholic theology. Other subjects from the Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies can also be chosen as second majors. All information on this new degree program can be found here.
