Dr. Rajakumar Guduru is an Assistant Professor of English Language Teaching (ELT) at the School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management, Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, India. He is at the Technical University Dresden, Germany as a Visiting Researcher on a short-term project on Inclusive Education under the DAAD Bilateral Exchange of Academics, 2024 Fellowship. This short-term project is an academic collaboration with Prof. Stefan Horlacher at TUD. The main aim of the project is investigating how the schools in Germany are developing and implementing strategies to make educational environments more accessible and equitable for diverse learners. The role of the researchers is to collaborate with educators, policymakers, and community stakeholders to identify barriers to inclusion and propose actionable solutions that support learners of all abilities, backgrounds, and needs. By conducting field study, analyzing best practices, and synthesizing data, this project aims to contribute insights that can be applied in the government schools in India to create more adaptive and supportive educational settings, fostering inclusivity in both teaching methodologies and curriculum design. This project also emphasizes the importance of social-emotional learning and the integration of assistive technologies, aiming to create a holistic, learner-centered approach to education.
