Learning tandems at the Institute of Slavic Studies
How do I tell my students to create a table, present a dialog with their partner - or to be quiet sometimes? It's not a big deal to say it in German, but for foreign language lessons, teachers should have a catalog of phrases up their sleeves that are linguistically correct and that the students understand.
As part of the learning tandems, the prospective Russian teachers support each other in finding suitable phrases for their lessons, creating worksheets or tests in the foreign language and critically planning and reviewing their own lessons.
You can find more information on tandem learning at the Institute of Slavic Studies in the German article "Zu zweit geht es besser" (Dresdner Universitätsjournal (30(18), page 7)).
