Consecutive Master's degree programme Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies
For all sub-disciplines of the Master's programme in Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies, the over-arching study regulations apply. Especially § 3 regulates the admission requirements. It stipulates that the prerequisite for admission to the studies is a first degree from an institution of higher education that is recognised in Germany and qualifying for a certain profession (berufsqualifizierender Hochschulabschluss) in a relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree, or a degree from a state or state-recognised university of cooperative education (Berufsakademie) in which linguistic, literary or cultural studies skills have been acquired. Further admission requirements are also regulated by the sub-subject regulations in § 3. In addition to the special features listed below, all sub-subjects stipulate that the already acquired undergraduate degree (Bachelor's or equivalent degree) must have contained at least 1/3 or 60 credit points of subject-specific content. This means that if you decide on the sub-subject German Studies, you should have successfully completed at least 60 credit points in subject-specific courses.
