Research and Teaching at the Faculty of Business and Economics

Markets & Regulation, Transformation & Innovation, Networks, Digitalization & Business Models, and Corporate Governance: Research activities at the Faculty of Business and Economics are wide-ranging, interdisciplinary in nature, and characterized by a strongly methodologically oriented approach. In keeping with the mission of TU Dresden as a full-spectrum technical university, we address both social science and technology-oriented issues in the fields of health, the future of work, education and politics, energy, mobility and environment, and industry & logistics.

Diversity also characterizes our academic offerings. Our two bachelor’s degree programs (Business Administration and Economics, Business Education and Management Training), three master’s programs (Business Administration, Public and International Economics, Business Education and Management Training), and two diplom programs (Industrial Engineering and Management, Business Information Systems), students can explore the full breadth of Business Administration and Economics. In particular, the two diploma programs consistently achieve outstanding results in university rankings. Their graduates are among the most sought-after at TU Dresden.

The faculty embraces cosmopolitanism and international exchange. Students have access to a close-knit network of international partners through the ERASMUS program and various options for dual-degree programs. Our annual research grants and the Distinguished Research Fellowship Program support our researchers in spending research periods abroad or inviting visiting researchers to the faculty.
