ITFMW - International Day of Women and Girls in Science # Feb. 11.
The scientific achievements of women and girls at the TU Dresden will be honored on February 11th, 2023 on the "International Day of Women and Girls in Science".
You are cordially invited to help shape and discuss this day.
Girls and women in science are faced with many questions: How do I structure my scientific career? How do I present myself correctly at symposia? How do I behave in committees? How do stays abroad help me? In which phase of my academic qualification does starting a family make sense? What career opportunities do I have? Can I still start an academic career after professional practice?
The very personal path of life, the very different professional cultures, but above all the funding structures must be taken into account.
The event is the prelude to an annual meeting for networking and exchange in a relaxed atmosphere.
Angela Rösen-Wolff, our Vice Rector, who is responsible for promoting research and young talent at the TU Dresden, will introduce various career pathways.
Now it is you turn! You are cordially invited to talk, about 20 minutes, on a topic from your research that you have always wanted to present, and another 5 minutes on the topic 'Girls and women and their way into science'. Alternatively, you are of course very welcome to describe your personal career.
