Excellent opportunities for student research: FOSTER.AI call for proposals
This year's call for applications for the Fund for Student Research (FOSTER) has started!
Students and lecturers can now apply for funding to promote research-oriented learning and teaching at TUD - e.g. for student research projects, summer schools or tutorials.
For the first time, the call for proposals has a thematic focus:
FOSTER.AI focuses on projects in which artificial intelligence (AI) plays a central role. Funding is available for projects in which AI itself is the subject of research, as well as projects in which AI is used in a targeted manner to provide support - for example to structure literature research, develop research questions or generate hypotheses. A prerequisite for funding is that the projects contribute to making student research visible and to promoting research-oriented learning and teaching.
Projects are eligible for funding in the amount of €5,000 to €25,000 and with a project duration from January to December 2026 (with cash expenditure until November 2026). Application forms can be submitted until September 01, 2025.
- A digital information event for all interested parties will take place on June 23, 2025 from 13:00 to 15:00.
- A workshop on the didactic concept will also be offered for teachers. This is expected to take place on August 14, 2025 from 09:00 to 13:00. Information on the workshop and registration can be found on our homepage.
Have we piqued your interest? Further information about FOSTER and the application process can be found on our website.
