Green ICT Award - the new study award in the field of microelectronics
The Research Fab Microelectronics Germany (FMD) is the largest cross-site R&D association for micro- and nanoelectronics in Europe, representing the cooperation between the Fraunhofer Group for Microelectronics and the Leibniz Institutes FBH and IHP. Last year, FMD launched the cross-site competence center GreenICT@FMD, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, with the aim of advancing research and development in microelectronics as an enabler for resource and energy efficiency.
In order to inspire prospective researchers for microelectronics and especially for Green ICT, a study prize is awarded in the context of the competence center "Green ICT @ FMD" - Green ICT Award. The award rewards outstanding student theses in the field of resource-saving information and communications technology with the goal of motivating young researchers. Students and young professionals from German colleges and universities can participate in the competition. The registration deadline is June 30, 2023.
