Electrical engineering: Shaping key technologies of the future
Electrical engineering includes all processes that deal with the generation, application and distribution of electricity. Electrical engineers develop numerous devices and processes that use electrical energy in very different ways for the good of technological and societal progress. How can artificial intelligence and robotics improve our everyday lives? How can renewable energy be used efficiently? How can technology be used in diagnostics and therapy to assist the doctor or support the patient? - These are just a few of the many questions that electrical engineering addresses.
Nowadays, it is hard to imagine everyday life without electrical and electronic devices. For some time now, electrical engineering has been increasingly influenced by information technology, communications technology and microelectronics, and computer science is also becoming more and more important.
