Approximately 22 PhD students will be involved in a total of 11 subprojects. 11 out of those 22 research fellows will be funded through the DFG, i.e. the RTG, whereby the remaining 11 will be financed by other research projects having related topics. This approach guarantees interdisciplinary, high-quality research within the RTG, while simultaneously ensuring a high level of synergy effects.
