Dear Graduates

After graduation you have to say goodbye to your everyday life as a student, to friends and maybe to Dresden, but we hope that you will stay connected to your/our university and the Faculty of Computer Science. We are building a new web presence especially for all graduates of our faculty and are looking forward to your suggestions, criticism and especially your own contributions. We are happy about your successes, the founding of new companies, new developments... and we are curious to see what the knowledge you have gained here will bring you in your future life.

My job is my hobby

Daniel Woithe works for Deutsche Bahn and ensures that processes ranging from food orders on ICE trains to greener driving become more digital. One focus of his work is IT security, an area that has fascinated him since his days as a student. Learn more

Queen of online courses

Back in her school days, Anja Lorenz regularly participated in Mathematical Olympiads and was always one of the few girls in her computer science classes. She loved computer games and 3D animated movies. Today, she works in the field of media computer science and is known as the “Queen of MOOC-Maker.” Learn more

Fascinated by computers and secure operating systems

Dr. Michael Hohmuth learned to program as a child. He studied Computer Science out of interest, but also because he wanted to stay in his hometown of Dresden. Nowadays, he manages the software company Kernkonzept. Learn more

102 graduates and their guests filled the Schönfeld lecture hall for the graduation ceremony on June 19, 2025 as part of OUTPUT.DD.

As a farewell gift, all graduates receive a backpack from the faculty with the inscription "I'm a graduate of the Faculty of Computer Science".

You are a graduate with a successful degree from TU Dresden and will be working abroad in the future? You feel further connected to your Dresden university and would like to make it easier for university teachers or exchange students to get started locally? As a regional ambassador you can help.

Awarding of anniversary certificates

On the occasion of 25 or 50 years of graduation, the faculty awards the Silver or Golden Diploma of the TU Dresden twice a year. Please send a list of your former seminar group to our alumni representative.
