Important notes on exam registration
- SELMA: is the leading examination administration system for all degree programs in Computer Science. Registration and admission via this portal is mandatory and a prerequisite for participation in every examination (incl. preliminary examination)
IMPORTANT: Module registration must take place BEFORE exam registration. The examination performance is not visible without module registration!
IMPORTANT : For some modules (old POs/SOs), course registration in SELMA is required after module registration. The course registration does not replace the exam registration.
Example: Module INF-B-510 (BI510):
Module registration=>Course registration=>Examination registration - ONAS: Online assistant for the notification of examination topics and examiners for the basic and specialization modules of the degree programs Diplom Informatik and Master Computer Science as well as the bridge / supplementary and specialization modules in the elective area of the Master Media Computer Science program via the Examination Office
- by ticket (e-mail): the examination topics and examiners are transmitted to the Examination Office for Computer Science for the following modules/examination achievements after an examination registration has been made via SELMA:
- INF-D-910 Research line
- INF-D-950 Large document
- INF-D-960 Analysis of a research topic
Please note: Profile modules and INF-MA-PR: Course registration via SELMA is no longer possible or necessary for these modules. Registration procedure as shown below: 1. module registration (does not apply if module registration has already been made in previous semesters) 2. exam registration: z. E.g.: Complex practical course in Cryptography and Data Security is offered by the Chair of Privacy and Security so Exam registration = research project Privacy & Security 3. exam registration: is not necessary, as examiners = chair (are already stored in SELMA deposited |
- If you have already registered in lists, OPAL or ONAS during the lectures, this does NOT replace exam registration via SELMA.
Only the Studium Generale is excluded. Registration via SELMA is not possible here. - If technical problems occur during online registration or if it is not possible to register for an examination, please contact the Examination Office for Computer Science within the respective registration period with a full-page screenshot of the screen via ticket.
- Due to the large number of compulsory elective modules, overlapping dates cannot be avoided.
- Exam registration is only possible if you are enrolled in the respective degree program.
Registration for language courses and language examinations
You must register for the language courses and the associated language examinations in SELMA(information and instructions).
Once you have completed the examination, submit the TUDIAS-confirmed certificate of achievement by e-mail to the Examination Office for Computer Science.
Examination schedules
The planning of the examinations for the winter semester 2025/2026 is currently in progress. As soon as the processing is completed, you will find the updated examination schedules, which are binding for all degree programs, on this website.
Please note: Missing times and rooms will be added as soon as possible. Changes are possible at any time. Please check here regularly until the examination date to see if there have been any changes to your examinations!
