MW-VNT-80 Furniture and construction element development

Qualification goals

Students have basic knowledge of designing and constructing with wood and wood-based materials and, building on this, are able to carry out computer-aided design including dimensioning for the manufacture of products. Taking into account the special features of the construction material wood or wood-based materials, students are able to design the value chain of a product from the idea to production. Students are able to carry out the development of a product, taking into account the specifics of the material.

Contents

Contents of the module are product development in furniture construction, furniture parts and fittings, materials and coatings, furniture statics and their testing, drawing creation, research and development in furniture construction, furniture history and components.
