Abstract
Postcombustion CO2 capture is one of the main technologies considered for CO2 capture from power plants. In this process, CO2 is captured from the flue gases after the normal flue gas treatment. Therefore, this technology should be especially suited for later retrofit of existing power plants. The of the diploma thesis is to investigate the performance of a coal fired CHP plant with CO2 capture using postcombustion capture. Site data from an existing CHP plant will be used to exemplify the power plant performance and the limitation imposed by the plant to integrate the CO2 capture unit.
