The ERASMUS+ program in Europe – ERASMUS works with 33 program countries in Europe:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, (Switzerland*), Turkey (incl. EU Overseas Territories).
*Switzerland is not an ERASMUS program country at this time. However, exchange programs are still running via the Swiss-European Mobility Program (SEMP).
ERASMUS+ worldwide: The ERASMUS+ “Mobility with partner countries – worldwide (KA107)” funding line was established in 2015, enabling exchanges between students and university staff with countries outside of Europe. Applications can be submitted once a year in accordance with a standardized Europe-wide application deadline. The last application deadline was in February 2020.
