International Composition
Over the past 14 years, our student community has become increasingly international (from 9.2% in 2010 to 18.5% in 2023). Currently, 5.356 international students are studying at TU Dresden (source: internal statistics dated Dec 1st, 2023). Out of the 9.229 staff members at TU Dresden, 13.1% are international. Our staff community comprises 98 nationalities (source: internal statistics dated Dec 1, 2023). International Teaching
Currently, TU Dresden offers 26 English-taught Master's degree programs and 33 double-degree programs with international partners. Information about the implementation of international study programs can be found here.
In the 2023/24 winter semester, 463 international students obtained a national university entrance qualification, while 4.890 obtained an international one. Of the latter, the number of students achieving their first degree only made up 8.54%, while international students pursuing a Master's or a PhD made up almost one-third each (consecutive Master's: 36.62%, PhD: 33.38%). International students, who pursue other forms of study, such as other second or third degrees, made up almost one-fifth of international students (others: 21.46%). [Source: HSI Monitor]

TU Dresden again holds its place among the top 200 universities worldwide.
International Partnerships
TU Dresden has partnerships with universities and other institutions worldwide at the faculty, school, or university level. Currently, TU Dresden has a network of 146 partner universities worldwide. For student exchanges, this figure rises to 391 partner universities worldwide.
