Director of the Office for Academic Collections Kirsten Vincenz elected to the Saxon Senate for Cultural Affairs

Kirsten Vincenz, Director of TU Dresden’s Office for Academic Heritage, Scientific and Art Collections, has been appointed as a new member of the Saxon Senate for Cultural Affairs (Sächsischer Kultursenat), where the art historian will offer her expertise and experience in liaising between art, culture and science. Her five-year term will commence on October 1, 2023.

Dedicated and distinguished persons from Saxony’s cultural sphere are elected to serve on the Saxon Senate for Cultural Affairs. The committee guides and advises the state’s and its municipalities’ funding policies for art and culture, and it provides recommendations for prioritizing focus areas. Furthermore, the Senate for Cultural Affairs shares its position on fundamental issues in cultural policy and represents the cultural interests of Saxony at the state and municipal levels.
