Thermalization and its absence in closed and open systems
Modul:
Phy-Ma-Vert: Physikalische Vertiefung
Lecture language
German
Summary of Lecture:
This course deals with the study of relaxation and thermalisation in many-body quantum systems. How do many-body quantum systems thermalise when isolated from an environment? Which are the fundamental ingredients and can the absence of some of those lead to non-relaxing, non-ergodic, or non-thermal behaviour? Examples are discussed for disordered systems and also open systems.
