| Summary of Lecture: | This lecture discusses solid density matter at high temperatures, as can be found deep inside planets or in various laboratory applications where condensed matter is heated rapidly. Following state-of-the-art experimental methods (diamond anvil cells, high-energy lasers, X-ray Free Electron Lasers), relevant science topics (planetary physics, material synthesis via extreme temperatures,…) will be introduced. |
