Doctorate
The Media Centre does not have the rights to award doctorates. All doctoral students are entered in the doctoral lists of the respective faculty to which the doctoral project is assigned.
A doctorate always begins with an idea - and the awareness that the path to the doctorate may be very bumpy. If you are interested in a doctorate, please send your initial idea including a CV to the colloquium leader who will then contact you.
Due to the interdisciplinary composition of the Media Centre and the cooperation with international partners, the field of research is broad. The main focus is on digital media in teaching and learning contexts, and educational technologies from different perspectives and in different educational sectors. Innovative ideas that go beyond that are of course welcome.

Our colloquium is used by all doctoral candidates as a platform to present their idea and, subsequently, their work status. We offer an annual summer school for further deepening and discussion.
The structured Education & Technology program serves as the basis for professional development in the doctoral process. It is composed of an association of European and Asian universities and other public research institutes. Currently, the English-language curriculum and the online learning content are being revised, based on the expertise of the participating institutions - a network in the field of educational science and technology.
