Through a wide range of services, the School Contact Point promotes familiarization with science, the exchange of experiences and the joint development of projects so that schools and the university can benefit from each other in the best possible way.
Our activities focus on the areas of activity of professional
orientation, student recruitment, talent promotion and science communication. We create a lively cooperation school network and are active and networked with external multipliers and in other nationwide school networks in the field of STEM.

How can you implement formats together with the School Contact Point?
The School Contact Point supports you in bringing innovative formats for communicating your research content and degree programs into the school context. Within the available capacities, we offer a wide range of cooperation opportunities to make your subject area visible to students and teachers in a targeted manner.
Due to the growing demand, however, we are increasingly coming up against personnel and financial limits. With your financial support, we can prioritize your projects and expand our offers in a targeted manner.
This can also be done, for example, by integrating the school contact point into third-party funded projects or as part of a cooperation module . A cooperation can be project-based, temporary or long-term.
Together we can build effective bridges between science and schools - contact us if you would like to open up your subject area to the next generation of pupils!
Many funding bodies, e.g. the BMFTR or the DFG, support concepts for science communication. We would like to encourage you to discover pupils as a target group for your science communication. The School Contact Point advises and supports you in the didactic design of a format suitable for the topic of the project.
Small projects can be implemented at the School Contact Point for as little as €2,500.
We have provided an overview of possible modules for you. We are also happy to develop new formats together with you. Here you can find inspiration for creative science communication formats.
- Selection of modules: You contact the school contact point regarding cooperation within the framework of our modules or your own idea. The school contact point prepares a cost calculation.
- Joint discussion of the modules in detail: Goals, expectations and possible challenges are discussed. These are incorporated into the work of the school contact point for your third-party funding application.
- Drawing up an agreement: This sets out the objectives, timeframe, results of the collaboration, the responsibilities of all parties and the funding.
- Implementation of the agreement: The school contact point implements the agreed activities and measures in close cooperation with you.
- Preparation of a project evaluation: The school contact point evaluates the project and prepares a detailed project report for project participants and funding bodies at the end of the project.
