Here, we provide an overview of support services for students and academics from Ukraine. The list is continually updated and expanded, and includes offers from the TU Dresden as well as other scientific organizations. TU Dresden offers language courses to students, high school graduates and early-career researchers from Ukraine seeking refuge. These are available for learners of different language proficiency levels and at different stages of academic progress.

Hilde Domin Program Scholarships for international students and doctoral candidates
The program promotes students and doctoral candidates from around the world who are formally or practically denied educational and other rights in their home countries. It provides them the opportunity to start or complete a degree program or research qualification in Germany.

Alexander von Humboldt Philipp Schwarz Initiative
Researchers who are under substantial and persistent personal threat in their home countries can take advantage of this program to continue their work at German universities and research institutions.
Application deadline extended to March 18, 2022
The Philipp Schwartz Initiative's 12th call for applications is set to be published in June 2022.
The German Research Foundation (DFG) supports researchers seeking refuge to apply for a position at a German research institution as part of the Walter Benjamin Program.
This grant is aimed at Ukrainian scholars and scientists who have been forced to flee their country in response to the Russian invasion and have arrived or are set to arrive in the coming weeks in Germany. The applicaiton deadline is April 5, 2022.
