Welcome to the International Office!

In the International Office, we are responsible for the development and implementation of internationalization strategies and for supporting international target groups and topics.

In addition to various individual projects, this includes the areas of international students (incoming), international mobility (outgoing), strategic partnership work, internationalization@home and of the campus, strategy support and the “European University Alliance” EUTOPIA.

We advise international applicants and students (including doctoral students) as well as TUD members on stays abroad, staff mobility, scholarship programs (faculty-specific and cross-university), funding programs and university cooperation.

Team "International Students"

The team advises you regarding the support and care for international students at TU Dresden especially on questions concerning study organization (e.g. leave of absence, student ID, exmatriculation, etc.). In addition, prospective international students are supported in questions of admission. Also part of this team is advising on and coordinating selected sholarship programs for international students, the Cultural Office and the International Tutoring Program.

Team "Internationalization@Home"

The "Internationalization@Home" team promotes the international dimension of TU Dresden on site. In close cooperation with the Welcome Center, it supports responsible internationalization, including the support of scholars at risk. The focus is on promoting global skills and intercultural understanding as well as creating a vibrant international campus. The team maintains regional networks and develops career prospects for international students after graduation.

Team "Funding Programs for Staff"

The team supports the international networking of TU Dresden through a variety of funding instruments. It oversees the Dresden Fellows Programme and the Eleonore Trefftz Programme for the promotion of excellent researchers. The Internationalization Prize and the Internationalization Funding Programme recognise special achievements and facilitate innovative projects. As a central point of contact, the team advises on funding opportunities from the DAAD, the Franco-German University (DFH) and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH) and offers comprehensive financial advice for international projects.

Team "Strategic Partnerships"

The "Strategic Partnerships" team shapes TU Dresden's international network by establishing and maintaining long-term university collaborations. The focus is on strategic university partnerships and the special TUD | transCampus partnerships, which enable intensive research and teaching collaborations. One focus is on cooperation with partners in the Global South, particularly in India, Taiwan and Sub-Saharan Africa. The team also develops regional partnerships, coordinates contract management for international agreements and supports the establishment of joint and double degree programs.
