NHR-TrainingsangeboteOpen Q&A session for users of the NHR@TUD-Computing-Clusters
With this regular, open question time for all users of our current supercomputing clusters for NHR@TUD (Barnard, Alpha, Romeo etc.), the ZIH offers the opportunity to ask questions about high-performance computing and the use of supercomputing systems. This includes topics such as:
- parallel programming
- performance analysis and optimisation of self written codes
- workflow optimisation (e.g.: job management and data processing)
- increase in efficiency
- software installation and utilisation
- requesting computing time etc.
Our question-and-answer sessions are designed to deal with topics in depth and to address the challenges of using the ZIH clusters in a targeted and direct manner. In this event format, the support team of technical and scientific employees of the ZIH is supported by expertise in the life sciences and geosciences (NHR@TUD team - for national high-performance computing at the ZIH).
In the focus will be discussions about concrete concerns of the respective assigned users. This discussions should also provide all other participants with interesting insights into the world of supercomputing in general, the work of our HPC support team and the special conditions of the resources provided at the ZIH.
Our Q&A sessions will take place online every other week from 13:30 to 14:30 starting in February 2024.
