Willersbau (Flügel A)
Zellescher Weg 12
01069 Dresden
MATLAB is a programming and numeric computing platform used by millions of engineers and scientists to analyze data, develop algorithms, and create models. It is developed by MathWorks, the leading developer of mathematical computing software for engineers and scientists. TU Dresden provides all staff and students with free campus-wide MATLAB access, including dedicated toolboxes for various applications.
With MATLAB and the MATLAB Parallel Server, researchers can use the familiar MATLAB environment to run computationally intensive MATLAB programs efficiently on computer clusters. This hands-on workshop will introduce participants who are familiar with MATLAB to the MATLAB parallel language and MATLAB Parallel Server. The focus will be on writing robust parallel code as well as running batch jobs on the TAURUS HPC cluster.
Agenda for Module 1:
- Optimizing your code
- Parallel Computing with MATLAB on the Desktop
- Levels of parallelization
- Scaling MATLAB to the cluster (TAURUS)
- Facilitating your GPU
- Big data workflows
The course is free of charge. Course language: English.
