NFDI4Earth
NFDI4Earth is a consortium within the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) aiming to build sustainable, FAIR-compliant data and service landscapes for Earth system sciences in Germany. It addresses both technical infrastructures and services for accessing, integrating, and using research data.
Within the consortium, the Center for Information Services and High Performance Computing (ZIH) at TU Dresden contributes its technical and methodological expertise in digital research infrastructures. A central role is the provision of the technical foundation for the consortium’s services: the Enterprise Cloud offers a scalable, secure, and sustainably operated infrastructure that enables the operation and further development of all NFDI4Earth services.
In addition, ZIH is actively involved in the technical design and implementation of key services, particularly the Knowledge Hub and OneStop4All, bringing in experience with cloud-based architectures, web platforms, and service-oriented software development. The center also contributes its expertise in research data management (RDM) and supports the User Support Network (USN) technically through the provision and operation of a central ticketing system.
NFDI4Earth is funded within the framework of the National Research Data Infrastructure by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
