Unicore

UNICORE (Uniform Interface to Computing Resources) is a middleware for distributed computersystems (like supercomputers or clusters) and data. It offeres a secure and seamless access to resources. UNICORE developments started in the late 1990s. It is used worldwide as a mature production system.

ZIH has been involved in the development of UNICORE almost from the beginning.In the project UNICORE Plus the UNICORE workflow management system was designed and im plemented as well as plugins. In Chemomentum ZIH developed a data management system and in EMI UNICORE was connected to other data stores.

ZIH ias amember of the UNICORE Forum to promote UNICORE and to influence its development.
