Description
(Quote from students about the nomination)
“It’s not the individual digital tools used in the lecture that makes this course a gem, it’s the combination of videos with very good commentary and support documents, annotated PowerPoint presentations and excellent communication with students. Even little things such as a well-run OPAL course and email reminders when there were updates on the training projects made for a very good and award-worthy course during the pandemic.”
Structure and execution
Fully digital OPAL combination course with complete lecture tutorials (video with commentary and Apple Pencil) and supplementary supporting videos on complex topics. The videos were created with a screen recorder (including sound) on an Apple iPad with stylus pen. The files were compressed using a special software so that the students could download them quickly. Three training projects consolidated the material taught in the lectures. The course included a continually updated timeline to afford the students better orientation.
