Saxon Graduate Study
2008 - 2013 - 2018 - 2023 - 2028 ...
Since 2008, every five years the Competence Center for (Higher) Education Research as a research institute at the Center for Quality Analysis has been conducting graduate surveys at universities in Saxony.
News: 4th Saxon Graduate Study completed
The surveys took place in 2023. The results were published in the summer of 2025.
As part of the 4th Saxony Graduate Study, three independent surveys were conducted:
- Initial survey of graduates for the 2019 and 2020 examination years (winter semester 2018/19 to summer semester 2020). For the first time, in addition to the universities and universities of applied sciences, the five colleges of arts under the jurisdiction of the Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture and Tourism (SMWK) were also included. The main topics of the survey were the retrospective evaluation of the studies, assessments of the acquisition of competencies, the career entry and the first professional experiences as well as regional mobility. The teacher training graduate study, which has been conducted separately in 2018, has been integrated into the main study.
- First follow-up survey of graduates from the 2015 and 2016 examination years (winter semester 2014/15 to summer semester 2016). The questions focused on further career and educational progress, regional mobility, current life situation and future plans.
- Second follow-up survey of graduates from the 2010 and 2011 examination years (winter semester 2009/10 to summer semester 2011). The questions focused on further career and educational progress, regional mobility, perceptions of further education and training, current life situation and further plans for the future.
