Are you interested in being a part of our symposium program? Submit your proposal by August 21, 2026. (Note: The symposium is a German-language event. There may be one or two presentations in English.)

Call for papers for DBBS 2027

Do you have an interesting project, a new methodology, new scientific findings, or a fascinating historic bridge? If so, please submit your proposed presentation topic for the 36th DBBS (max. one A4 page—please use the template) via e-mail: as follows:

Contribution title
A brief abstract of the content, along with two to three relevant images, including captions
Name(s) of the author(s) + institution/company
Name of the presenter + institution/company
Contact person with contact address, including phone number and email address

Decisions regarding the selection of contributions will be made in September 2026. We request the submission of the final version of your contribution by mid-November 2026. Before applying, please verify that you can meet the deadline for submitting your manuscript and that you are authorized to publish the intended content. The contributions will be published as a printed conference proceedings volume and made available via open access on the Qucosa^® academic publishing server.

Please note the well-developed services offered by Dresden's public transportation system and Deutsche Bahn for a journey to Messe Dresden. Messe Dresden offers its visitors sufficient parking facilities - including a charging station (with two parking spaces) for e-mobility. Those arriving by car please use parking lot P7 (self-pay basis).

Exhibition and company participation

We offer companies and institutions the opportunity to present themselves to our guests at the symposium. Hall 2 and the Via Mobile 3 and 4 areas at the Dresden Exhibition Centre will be available to us for the trade fair. We offer the following participation formats:

Exhibition stand during the event,
Advertisements in the conference proceedings (circulation approx. 1600),
Promotional material in conference bags, e.g., flyers/leaflets and giveaways (circulation approx. 1600),
Display area for promotional materials like books, etc.,
Digital advertising as images or videos on the event monitors in Hall 2.
