Networking workshop
Since June 2023, our networking workshops have been held several times a year for all interested lecturers and students in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The aim is to get to know new and deepen familiar topics related to digital teaching, suitable tools, experience reports and informative input from experts and colleagues as well as to exchange ideas with other committed and interested participants from the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The workshops and a corresponding newsletter each have a thematic focus on digital teaching.

Workshop: Lifelong learning
March 24, 2026 | 13:00-15:00 | t.b.a.
Lifelong learning includes offers for different target groups - such as working people, those interested in further education, students or people who want to flexibly acquire individual modules or qualifications. With the establishment of the new Vice-Rectorate for Education and Lifelong Learning, this topic is moving more into the strategic focus of the university.
This development opens up new opportunities for chairs and lecturers: new target groups, new teaching formats and potential cooperation or revenue models. At the same time, there are still few concrete guidelines. Responsibilities, organizational processes and business models are still being developed in some cases.
For lecturers, this means freedom of design on the one hand, but also uncertainty regarding framework conditions, responsibilitiesand feasibility on the other. The workshop is therefore intended to create a space to discuss these issues together and develop perspectives for chairs.
