In addition to strategic tasks and committee work, the International Office of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering offers support with administrative and intercultural issues relating to international activities.
As of 01.02.2026, it already changed its responsibilities with regard to administrative processes concerning planned guest stays (see also circular dated 19.12.2025).
- Equivalency checks (ÄP) for the recruitment of colleagues with degrees from abroad have been transferred to Directorate Personnel 2 (Andrea Marciniak, Staff Unit Policy and Legal Affairs of Personnel, ) since 01.02.2026.
As of 01.04.2026, the responsibility for hosting agreements and guest contracts will also change. The documents will now be issued by Directorate 2 (Andrea Marciniak, Staff Unit Policy and Legal Affairs of Personnel).

- Advice on funding opportunities for international activities
- Processing external inquiries about doctoral opportunities, guest stays and exchanges
- Support for the programs of TU Dresden's Institutional Strategy (DRESDEN Fellowship, Eleonore Trefftz Program, etc.) as well as information and advice for potential applicants
- Organizational support, accompaniment and presentation of the department and TU Dresden during cross-faculty delegation visits and international events
- Support for individual internationalization projects with an overarching and/or inductive character
- Supporting public relations work at international events (alumni and regional ambassador meetings, trade fairs, conferences) and for internationalization measures (newsletter, print media)
- Development of the department's internationalization strategy
- Initiating and supporting strategic university partnerships (improving framework conditions, detecting potential synergies, setting incentives, bringing stakeholders together, initiating and evaluating as well as coordinating and documenting activities, developing LoIs and MoUs, organizational and administrative support)
