Compulsory Modules Business and Economics
In Study Track I, the Compulsory Area of Business and Economics comprises a total of 25 credit points. To earn these, you must complete the following five modules, each with five credit points:
1st Semester
- Newer Theories of Teaching and Learning (Neuere Theorien des Lehrens und Lernens)
In this module, you will explore theories and models that incorporate recent findings on knowledge transfer and metacognition. You will understand and reflect on these and apply them to practical examples.
- Practical School and Company Studies (Schul- und betriebspraktische Studien)
In this module, you will independently develop concepts for teaching units and apply them in practice. In this context, you will reflect on possible problems in the design of commercial teaching concepts.
2nd Semester
- Complex Teaching-learning Arrangements in Commercial Training and Further Education (Komplexe Lehr-Lern- Arrangements in der kaufmännischen Aus- und Weiterbildung)
In this module, you will learn about teaching-learning methods such as case studies, business games, or role plays, understand their principles, structure, and application, and practice their practical implementation.
3rd Semester
- Multimedia Learning
You will learn multimedia learning, understand its psychological principles and theories, and apply it to analyze and create your original multimedia materials.
- Internship (Praktikum)
In the internship, you will apply your knowledge of business didactics in practice. You will observe, analyze, and evaluate courses in a school or company context. You will also gain and reflect on your own teaching experience.
Study Track II, where 20 credit points are to be acquired, omits the module Multimedia Learning.
