Our Cause

Today’s most pressing economic challenges - climate change, financial crises, disruptions in commodity markets, and income disparities - are global in nature. Addressing them requires a deep understanding of both national and international policymaking, with a focus on effective international policy coordination.

Our Master’s program in Public and International Economics (PIE) equips you with advanced methodological and scientific skills, preparing you to develop effective solutions to economic policy challenges in a globalized world.

The PIE program replaced the Master's program in "Economics" in winter 2023. Students enrolled in the previous program can find all relevant information here.

The Faculty of Business and Economics is located on TU Dresden’s main campus in Südvorstadt.
