Science for everyone
With its excellent research, TU Dresden makes a valuable contribution to solving global challenges. Our researchers are working on some of the most pressing issues of our time, including the climate crisis, artificial intelligence, societal disruption, and new treatment methods. We actively communicate their findings to the public with a view to inform, educate, and enter into dialogue with the wider community in support of science.
Science communication at TUD
Experts should not be the only ones to understand scientific findings and how they are obtained. The wider public must also be able to comprehend what is being researched, how it is being researched, and what the results mean. This helps to build trust in research and science and is the reason why science communication plays a key role at TU Dresden. We communicate research to target audiences spanning all generations using various media – from videos on our social media channels, to podcasts, apps, exhibitions, and traditional media relations work. Events such as science slams and the Dresden Science Night bring researchers and the public together and facilitate direct communication.
The following pages provide an overview of our diverse services and activities in the area of science communication.
