Establishing the TUD-BildungsAcker as a place of research and learning at TU Dresden
Period | Funded by:in |
01.01.2023 - 31.12.2023 |
TUD Dresden University of Technology; Environment Commission |
The aim of the measure is to consolidate and establish the BildungsAcker as an inherent, self-evident place of learning and research at TU Dresden, which offers students and teachers opportunities for innovative formats of transformative ESD, but is also accessible to the interested public as a place for communication, information and exchange in the Botanical Garden of the TUD.
The importance of education for sustainable development (ESD), particularly in teacher training, is firmly established at federal and state level. The establishment of an agricultural area in university teaching thus also takes into account the claim of ESD as a cross-sectional task, which can be understood both across disciplines and as a learning and development process affecting the entire institution. In the sense of a whole institutional approach, the educational site used as a field contributes to the implementation of the sustainability strategy and the further profiling of the TUD as a sustainable university. By establishing a concrete learning location for the implementation of ESD in the form of an educational field, a long-term usable teaching-learning location is created within the structures of the TUD where research-based teaching can be taught in an action-oriented manner. So far, such a publicly accessible learning and meeting place for university teaching has not been established at the TUD or any other Saxon university.

Period | Funded by:in |
01.09.2022 - 31.08.2023 |
TUD Dresden University of Technology; Digital Teaching and Learning Fund (DLL) |
The aim of the project is to promote the digital and reflective skills of student teachers and to strengthen their understanding of the requirements for skilled work in the professional field of E&H. This is to be achieved through the active engagement of students with current challenges of the relevant professional work in the form of productive media work. The content digitally documented during company visits is to be didactically prepared and reflected upon. There is an in-depth examination of technical and professional content as well as currently relevant issues in the professional field.
