Call for Abstracts
(Deadline: 20 June 2025)
We are pleased to be involved in the organization of the upcoming conference Performing Transformation and to announce the call for abstracts. Performing Transformation is a two-day event at TU Dresden that explores how knowledge is produced, embodied and challenged at the intersections of art, science and technology in times of rapid social change.
The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers, artists and practitioners to examine performative and collaborative research practices in the context of economic, political, cultural, ecological and technological transformations. The aim is to explore how such upheavals create epistemic shifts that challenge existing power relations, identity constructions and knowledge systems. We cordially invite you to explore how the performativity and performance of knowledge - through scientific experiments, artistic interventions or collaborative research - is performed across disciplinary, institutional and social boundaries.
Contributions are welcome in a variety of formats - from academic lectures, performances, screenings and workshops to other experimental forms of presentation. Topics include algorithmic knowledge, regional transformation, epistemic disruption, artistic infrastructures and speculative design. Abstracts (max. 500 words) can be submitted by June 20, 2025 by email to . For more information on the main topics and submission, please see the download below: DOWNLOAD CALL (pdf, 160kb)
