Enrolment
Enrolment for seminars and lectures takes place via OPAL. It usually begins on the first day of the respective semester (see academic year schedule). Current changes are regularly published on this website or communicated directly via the courses. The registration dates for the current semester are as follows
- Seminars: March 24 to April 04, 2025
- Lectures: from March 24

The current timetable and course directory can be found at the top of this page. There you will also find all information on the schedule (weekly or as a block course) and format (in presence, hybrid, online). Teaching in the summer semester 2025 is mainly planned in presence. Some courses occasionally offer hybrid or online dates. |
Enrolment |
Enrolment for courses will take place as usual via OPAL. You can register for seminars from March 24 to April 4, 2025. You can register for lectures from March 24, 2025.

Attendance certificates (Aqua, Studium Generale) |
Students who require a certificate of participation or achievement (within the framework of AQUA and studium generale) should contact the AQUA representative of the IfK at the end of the semester. In order to receive a certificate of attendance, an attendance list (with signatures of the lecturers) must be kept. You can find a template and further information on our AQUA information page for external students. |
Final theses |
For the registration of theses (Bachelor's or Master's thesis), please send your completed registration forms directly to the Examination Office and contact your first supervisor CC. |
Consultation hours |
Consultation hours are offered by prior arrangement in presence or, in exceptional cases, by telephone/telex (e.g. e-mail, telephone, video conferencing tools). |

Before the start of the semester, please find out about the course schedule, module content, examination registration procedures, etc. There are also contact persons at the IfK for all topics relating to your studies. You can find an overview on this page You can also make use of the services offered by the Student Advisory Service. For example, for advice by e-mail, telephone consultation hours, telephone advice (with appointment), chats and webinars. |

Information on the courses offered by other institutes for the supplementary areas can be found on the pages of the respective institutes or faculties:

The courses assigned to the modules of the respective supplementary areas can be found in the study regulations (study documents BA GKS). If you have any questions about courses in the supplementary areas, other main subjects and compulsory elective areas, please contact the student advisory service of the respective departments. Please note the different enrolment regulations of the departments. Changes and information regarding courses in the supplementary area are only entered on the pages of the respective Institute. Please inform yourself regularly and in good time about any changes!
Other/external AQUA events
In addition to your compulsory courses, you can attend the AQUA courses listed in the IfK timetables. Please note that some of these courses are only open to IfK students (for information, see the details page of the respective course). Furthermore, the AQUA offer of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science (see AQUA offer of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science), the Studium Generale offer of the TUD (see Studium Generale) as well as the offer of the Center for International Studies are available.
