The timetable and course catalogue for the respective semester (with descriptions of all courses offered by the Institute in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes) are published here at least two weeks before the start of enrolment.

Enrolment
OPAL enrolment always starts on the first day of the respective semester (see academic year schedule). Current changes are regularly published on this website or communicated directly via the courses.

Remarks [as of: 29 July 2021]
- Enrolment in the lectures is open to all students, you will not receive an invitation for this. You will also not receive an invitation for enrolment in the seminars in winter semester 21/22. Please follow the instructions on Opal and only enrol in the courses that are intended for your subject semester. Exceptions apply to students who have to make up examinations from previous semesters.
- Enrolment in the methods and statistics lectures (+ tutorials) as well as the courses you have to attend as part of your supplementary study are not organised via the IfK. Please contact the contact persons of the institutes offering the courses.
- Enrolment by e-mail is not possible. We therefore ask you to refrain from sending such e-mails. If you have any problems or questions regarding Opal enrolment, please register here or send an e-mail to , stating your matriculation number and the study regulations according to which you are studying.

If you have any questions about courses in the supplementary areas, please contact the subject advisory service of the respective departments. Please note any deviating enrolment regulations of the departments. Changes and information regarding the courses in the supplementary area are only entered on the pages of the respective institute. Please inform yourself in good time and regularly about any changes!
Other/External AQUA Events
In addition to your compulsory courses, you can take the AQUA courses listed in the IfK timetables. Please note that some of these courses are only open to students of the IfK (for information, see the details page of the respective course). Furthermore, the AQUA offer of the Faculty of Humanities (see AQUA-offer of the faculty of philosophy), the Studium Generale offer of the TUD (see Studium generale) as well as the offer of the Centre for International Studies are available.
