Supervision of theses and doctorates
Theses
The Chair regularly supervises Bachelor's, Diploma and Master's theses in the fields of Sociological Theories and Cultural Sociology. Dominik Schrage and Anne-Kathrin Hoklas are available as supervisors or second assessors for Bachelor's, Diploma and Master's theses, but they do not supervise or assess together. Therefore, reviewers from other areas of the Institute must be consulted. If you are interested, please contact us by e-mail or visit our office hours. The same applies to the acceptance of second reviews.
All Master's and Diploma theses supervised by the Chair must be presented and discussed in the research colloquium. Please contact Dominik Schrage as early as possible to make an appointment.
A selection of thesis topics from recent years can be viewed here.
Supervision of dissertations
Dominik Schrage takes on the supervision of doctoral projects, provided they fall within his area of expertise, there is a convincing concept in terms of content that is feasible within a reasonable time frame and the capacity for responsible supervision is available. If you are interested, please contact him directly. An exposé, which is usually discussed in several personal meetings, must be submitted prior to any confirmation of supervision.
