Prof. Jürgen Czarske honored with the SPIE Dennis Gabor Award in Diffractive Optics
SPIE President Prof. Jennifer Barton from the University of Arizona presented Prof. Juergen Czarske with the Dennis Gabor Award in Diffractive Optics.
Prof. Jürgen Czarske, Chair of Measurement and Sensor System Technique, has been awarded the SPIE Dennis Gabor Award in Diffractive Optics 2024. The prize is awarded annually by the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE). SPIE thus honors the Dresden scientist for his significant contributions to the development of digital holography and related techniques for biomedicine, fiber communication, imaging, information processing and laser measurement technology. The award ceremony took place on August 21, 2024 during a banquet at the Air and Space Museum San Diego.
