The goal of the HAEC - Architecture Group is to provide a communication network based on a heterogeneous com-munication structure. Thereby, the scientific staff is closely following the communication demands of the software structure using optimized network coding and routing to take energy efficiency into account. 

Also, security and delay constraints are of major importance to fulfill the requirements of the applications running on this new computer architecture. Moreover, it will provide knowledge on energy consumption of various compu-tation and communication alternatives beforehand by analysis and at runtime by monitoring.
