MW-VNT-82 Paper manufacturing machines and processes
Qualification goals
Students have in-depth knowledge of the individual paper manufacturing processes with a focus on paper machines, coating technology and equipment. They will have a basic overview of product-specific plant technology, including tissue paper production, and will be able to apply the paper production processes.
Contents
The module covers the basic composition of papers and coating colors (raw materials and auxiliary materials), the individual processes and technology, including the individual sections of the paper and coating machine and the subsequent equipment, in particular the forming, dewatering, drying and finishing of the papers and the use of chemical additives. Further contents are the special composition of coating colors, their preparation, the various application possibilities and the processes for drying the coating colors as well as the construction of coating machines.
