MW-VNT-125 Two-dimensional design basics
Qualification goals
Students have theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills and abilities in two-dimensional design using graphics, color and material as well as their application to industrial product development. They know processes and methods of elementary design of individual phenomena of graphics, color and material, can apply these to exemplary problems and transfer them to complex design projects. They can critically reflect on their skills and abilities and develop them further independently.
Contents
The module covers theoretical principles of perception and design of graphic elements, signs and sign systems as well as product graphics in industrial design, individual aspects and perceptual phenomena of graphic design and corresponding methods. Further contents are physical, cognitive and social science as well as design basics of perception, systematization and design by means of color and material.
