MW-VNT-96 Cutting technology
Qualification goals
Students will be able to characterize and assess machining processes and methods on wood and wood-based materials as well as on composite materials commonly used in the industry. They will be able to name problem areas in modern wood machining and describe possible solutions. Furthermore, students know the basics of production automation and are able to program and instruct multi-axis CNC machines optimally.
Contents
The contents of the module are constellations, problems and solution approaches in cutting technology as an important part of cutting technology in the field of wood technology, including the description of cutting processes and procedures and their modelling and optimization. Further contents are general possibilities for production automation, in particular automation in product development and production, information supply for production processes and systems and application systems in production and production-related services as well as theoretical and practical knowledge of CNC programming on woodworking machines.
