On March 25, 2024, Dr.-Ing. Michael Vorhof defended his dissertation "Systematic development, description and application of a new technical formation for the production of integral multilayer and spacer fabric structures for fiber composite constructions", which he wrote at the Institute of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology at TU Dresden, under the chairmanship of Prof. Majschak (Institute of Natural Materials Technology at TU Dresden).

The doctoral thesis was reviewed by Prof. Cherif (ITM) and Prof. Klopp (RWTH Aachen). Prof. Modler (ILK) and Prof. Kyosev (ITM) accompanied the doctoral procedure as assessors.
